Frequently Asked Questions

Maybe you have a few questions. That’s okay, most people do. So here’s a quick collection of common questions that we receive, along with their answers. If you still have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to connect with you.

Question: Is there a cost for your services?

Answer: Your initial appointment is free. This intake appointment will help to establish your timeline during the foreclosure process and what options may be available depending on where you may be during the foreclosure process. Once there is a need established, we will refer you to the appropriate team, agency and/or business affiliate for further assistance.

Question: Can you stop the foreclosure process?

Answer: This is a great question and depends on where you are in the process.  Where you are in the process determines what options are available to you.  We can absolutely help you because we understand the complications of the foreclosure process.  If we can’t find a workable solution with your Lender/Servicer through their Loss Mitigation Department, we will discuss your next steps.   Our goal is to stop the foreclosure immediately, we have Foreclosure Prevention Specialists and a Foreclosure Mitigation Attorney that can help you. If you are in foreclosure, you need to take action now and give us a call. Timing is important. Give us a call right now!

Question: What if my house is already foreclosed on?

Answer: Unfortunately, we are limited in our ability to provide support if your house has already been foreclosed on and a sale has taken place. Our ability to provide support is further limited by how many days have passed after the sale has occurred.  Additionally, it is important to consider that a foreclosure may remain on your credit for 7 years and you may have an eviction processed, which may further impact you in the future.

Question: If I have to sell my home, do you have licensed professionals to help with this process?

Answer: Yes, we will refer you to a disposition team, licensed North Carolina Real Estate Brokers.

Question: If I have to sell my home, how fast will my home be purchased and closed?

Answer: While we are unable to provide a specific timeline,  once you are referred to disposition, our resources and team’s expertise allows us to buy and/or sell your house within a quick timeline through an affiliated company or other companies. There are other factors that impact this timeline, such as the ability to clear title and the unique aspects of your particular situation. If flexibility or a specific timeline is necessary, we will do our best to work with you.

Question:  Will you be listing my house on the MLS or actually buying the house?

Answer:  This depends on the situation. As we have in-house North Carolina Real Estate Brokers, we also have other options on how we may proceed. However, there are times where the house will be sold  prior to listing the property.

Question:  Do you pay or get fair market value on properties?

Answer: Absolutely. Our affiliates and disposition team will make sure your home is sold at a fair market price through a strategic evaluative process.  Our disposition team will review market value numbers with you.

Question:  How would you determine fair market value on my house?

Answer:  Great question, and we’re an open book: Our process is very straightforward. We work with our team and affiliates to assess the location of the property, the current condition of the property, what repairs are needed, and values of comparable houses sold in the area recently. Using this information and any other relevant information, we determine a fair price that works for you.

Question:  Are there any fees or commissions to work with you?

Answer: Yes. There are commissions earned during the process.

Question: How much do you cost?

Answer: We tailor every case to our clients, so there is not a uniform cost for our services. Depending on the unique characteristics of each case, some of our clients are able to receive our services without any fees or payments, while other client situations may require an engagement agreement prior to receiving our services. By attending our free 15-minute initial consult appointment, we can discuss the particulars of your situation to determine what may work best for you. There are no funds paid upfront prior to services being rendered.
